Freshen up and relax full day for acclimatization to the high altitude of Leh (11,500 ft / 3500 mtrs). Have sumptuous dinner and restful overnight stay at the hotel. Day 2 Leh Sightseeing Enjoy hearty breakfast served at the hotel. Check out from the hotel and embark on local sightseeing tour of Leh, the capital town of Ladakh, India. Major attractions you will visit today include Thiksey Monastery, Hemis Gompa, Shey Palace and Stok Palace Museum. In the afternoon you visit the famous Shanti Stupa. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel. Day 3 Leh - Khardung-La Pass Nubra Valley Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. Drive towards Nubra Valley driving passing through the Khardung-La Pass (the highest motorable pass in the world - alt: 18,380 ft). After descending from the pass, drive on for sightseeing of Sumoor Area. Later you will check-in at a fixed camp in the same area or drive across the Diskit for overnight stay in a camp. Day 4 Nubra Valley - Leh Take breakfast at the camp. Later visit and explore the famous Diskit Monastery, Hundar and Sand Dunes. You can enjoy a short camel safari using the double-humped camel. On time return back to Leh and check in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel. Day 5 Leh - Pangong (Approx 214 kms) Early morning (6 am) departure for Pangong Lake (300 kms round trip) via Chang-la pass (alt: 17370 ft.) Pangong Lake (alt: 14,500 ft.) is 5-6 kms wide and over 130 kms long, two-thirds of which lies on the other side of the Indo- China border. Stop at the lake side for lunch and sightseeing for about three hours and then drive back to reach Leh in the late evening.Dinner and overnight at the hotel. Day 6 Pangong - Leh After breakfast leave for Leh. On the arrival check into hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel. Day 7 Leh - Onward In the early morning after breakfast transfer you to the Leh Airport where you will board flight back to your home / onward destination.Overview
